The graceful tannins of Sangiovese give the wine structure and elegance.
TerrediSotto is the winery’s flagship wine and expresses its aim: to create wines that have what it takes to age for a long time. Its ancestor was produced using the grapes of the first Sangiovese vineyard that we planted in 1996 selecting the most suitable clones of Sangiovese grosso. Today, as then, the aim is to bottle our land, our corner of Val d’Orcia.
- Grape mix: Sangiovese from the oldest 25-year old vineyards
- Manual harvest: harvested in the second half of September
- Ageing: 30 months in 500-litre medium-sized oak casks, at least 6 months in the bottles
- Production: 2,700 bottles
- Serving suggestions: uncork at least one hour before serving in large red wine glasses, at a temperature of 18 ºC. In this unfiltered wine, any sediment is synonymous with authenticity.
Our advice: the elegance and the tannic texture make it perfect for accompanying meat dishes, especially grilled, such as Florentine steak and tagliata (thinly sliced beef).

The season has expressed several waves of heat in July and August bringing the grapes to early ripening. The harvest was therefore brought forward by 10 days, in mid-September. The wine was particularly rich in tannins and remarkable structure; both are excellent conditions of longevity and therefore require a patient aging in bottle.

Intense and elegant vintage. Once again, winter temperatures were consistently above average and early budding was followed by ideal ripening during a hot, dry summer. Perfect and above all healthy grapes.

A vintage to keep locked in the cellar. Winter with mild temperatures and sufficient rainfall to create the water reserves needed for the summer. Numerous heat waves recorded between late May and August. At the time of harvesting the grapes were healthy and intact, suitable for wines with very long ageing.
